The first Land Trip for Austostar clients

Imagine a hands-on off road driving course that take the participants into a gorgeous natural forest trail up to a semi desert beach.

That was only one of the activities offered in the Land Trip realized by the Autostar Store in February. Over a dozen Land Rover owners joined in a trip to Ilhabela, were they could enjoy the beautiful landscape of the island and the fun possibilities in the sea.

The convoy left the Autostar Store at Av. Morumbi in the source of the Tiete River Fountain in Salesopolis, heading the north coast of the state. To get there, the drivers could warm up their skills in different terrain, with a piece of trail in the state protected reserve that shelters the springs.

Besides the car owners, there was organization units equipped with radios that transmitted the navigations instructions to the pilots. But here the main attraction was the point of origin of one of the main rivers in the country. It flows for 1150 km toward the countryside, although its source it is only 22 km from the sea. Anyway, it was a opportunity to know how clear an clean its water is as soon it reaches the surface. There is also a museum at the reception location where one can compare the color of the water in different cities in the state.

Next stop Ilhabela with a wonderful view of the coast, the boats and the ships close to the beach.  After leaving the continent and entering the island, there was a reception brunch by the pool in the well located Itapemar Hotel.

The visitants could also enjoy the sunset on board of modern windjammer anchored right at the front of the hotel. The sailing boat is sponsored by Land Rover and has participated in many official competitions.

So the lucky adventurers enjoyed the wonderful view in an easy sea breeze along the coast of one of the pleasant touristic destiny in the state of Sao Paulo.

As the night calls the hotel calls for an exclusive by the beach dinner composed of state of art seafood, welcome drinks and soft alive music.  The landscape was of a tropical paradise!^

But the main attraction was the next day trip to Castelhanos Beach. Although the trail has been restored continuously it conserves great old difficulties in some points, but it offers a great deal of fun in a natural environment.

The course was interactive along the way, including many of the technology features present in the Freelander, Defender and Discovery models. Frequently the drivers tried for the first time some of the cars distinguished technical characteristics.

They experienced mud, sand and other off-road occasions where the model engineering could help sensibly.

The weekend was perfect, the experience unforgettable, and the wishes is for more.
